Summer Solstice Gathering
June 23rd & 24th, 2007

We started carrying items a 1/4 mile in to the site location at 4:00pm. By 7:00pm we were set up to this state.

Cormac McInnean listens raptly to a song sung by Clionna.

Even though the camp fires had gone out there was still plenty of light to see by thanks to the moon.

Cormac and Samantha warm themselves by the morning fire.

Clionna and Cormac enjoy the morning

Clionna teaches Samantha (R) how to do a flat braid to make a belt.

Cormac walks a nearby road in search of wild garlic and onions.

By early afternoon the direct sun was very hot. So, we were very glad that our tent converts into an awning and could provide shade.

We lit our fire as the sun began to set and were treated to a beautiful sight.

The heart of the night fires.

Even though it was summer the early morning dew and cold meant we lit a small fire quickly to warm up for the day.

Sydney (L) and Casey (R), wake up on the bench near the fire.

Syd and Micky play an ancient Celtic game, fidchell.

Casey works on some project, that only she know what it is.

Katharine prepares the onions for a traditional and common dish of "Beans, Onions, and Kale".
